Couplings, manifolds and safety devices for air lines on construction sites, in quarries and at industrial facilities — so the hose does not whip if it ruptures or disconnects.
Typical layout recommended by DIXON: compressor → 2" bull hose with Boss couplings → air manifold with gauge, pop-off valve, ball valves and Safety Check valves on the outlets → ¾" hoses with Air King couplings and safety clips → lubricator → tool via nipple and short whip hose. The universal head is identical for sizes ¼"–1" — any size connects to any other. Three safety features: the AWR4 washer seals up to 150 psi, internal 90° step-lock lugs, a safety clip against twisting. Air and water only, not for steam.
Spud on the equipment + stem on the hose + wing nut. Copper or polymer ground joint seat, Klingersil washers. Sizes ¼"–6". Also air hammer couplings and Boss interlocking clamps (special bolts, do not reuse).

Automatically shut off flow if a hose ruptures or a coupling fails, and reset themselves. Valve size is chosen by the hose inside diameter. Not for 100% air demand tools (sandblasting, pile drivers).
Limit damage and injuries if a hose, coupling or clamp fails or the connection separates accidentally. The cable spans the connection; spring-loaded loops pass over the couplings and grip the hose. Installed without tools, only when fully extended.
Restrains a high-pressure hose (air, water, hydraulic, slurry) if the assembly fails. Two anchor points beyond the fittings eliminate whip; the galvanised steel wire stocking grips the hose over a long length. A secondary safety device, not load-bearing.

Protects hoses, tubing, pipes, wiring and cables from high temperature, direct flame and molten splash; helps maintain line temperature. Slides over the hose and expands over fittings.
For mining, quarrying, forestry, offshore and hydraulics. Crush and abrasion resistant, resistant to chemicals and UV; installed on site; single hoses or bundles.
