DIXON Cam & Groove Couplings and Hose Fittings

DIXON cam & groove couplings, hose fittings, crimp systems, clamps and pipe fittings — for liquids, dry bulk, steam and air. Descriptions and specifications according to the manufacturer.

DIXON was founded in 1916 by Howard W. Goodall in Chestertown, Maryland, USA. Today it manufactures and supplies fluid transfer products for construction, oil and gas, agriculture, food processing, petrochemicals and utilities. Production is certified to ISO 9001, hose assemblies to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (PED), and the company holds DNV GL type approval.

Flow Dynamics Caspian is the official DIXON distributor in Kazakhstan. We select couplings by media, pressure, temperature and hose type, and supply individual fittings as well as tested hose assemblies.

Cam & Groove couplings

DIXON cam & groove couplings are quick-connect fittings for hoses, pipes and tanks. They are used for liquids, dry bulk and vapours: cooling water, fuels, chemicals, cosmetics, food, adhesives, dyes, pharmaceuticals, pellets. To connect, slide the adapter into the coupler and close the cam arms; to disconnect, lift the arms.

EZ Boss-Lock

EZ Boss-Lock

self-locking cam & groove

Cam arms lock automatically when closed. An ergonomic release lever sits under the thumb; the coupling cannot open accidentally when the hose is dragged along the ground. No sliding pins — the rotating mechanism does not clog with debris.

  • Investment-cast stainless steel with a small outside diameter — fits tank-truck hose tubes
  • Retrofit for existing stainless steel Boss-Lock
  • Cam arm guarantee — free replacement
  • Notched version: the stem can be reused after cutting off the ferrule
Vent-Lock

Vent-Lock

venting cam & groove

Releases residual pressure before the hose is disconnected. The venting system protects the operator from spray of hazardous and non-hazardous liquids and dry bulk.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

Which cam & groove couplings are suitable for chemicals?

For most chemicals — 316 stainless steel or polypropylene; for highly aggressive media — Hastelloy C adapters. We select the gasket (NBR, FKM, EPDM, PTFE) using a chemical resistance chart.

Can you supply a hose with cam & groove couplings fitted?

Yes, we supply hoses assembled with DIXON fittings or with built-in vulcanised fittings.

How does EZ Boss-Lock differ from a standard cam & groove coupling?

EZ Boss-Lock cam arms lock automatically when closed and cannot open accidentally; to release, press the lever under your thumb.
